Embed fonts
- [Woman] And now we come to the topic of embedding fonts in your EPUB, and by that I mean, you know that you purchase fonts right and you use them in styles and you apply them to text and that's what it looks like when you print or export to PDF. Well what about exporting them to EPUB? There's actually a number of issues involved, one of them is, are you legally allowed to embed, based on the license of the font? Sometimes you're not. Another one is, does it make sense to embed the font? Will people be able to read it? Is it a weird looking font, and will it add to the size of your EPUB? And the third one is how is it going to translate to different e-readers? So I'll touch on all those topics in this video. First let's talk about how do you embed the font?
