Editing the OPF

- [Instructor] The OPF is one of the most critical and fussy files of an ebook with precise and rigorous needs. The OPF which stands for Open Package Format organizes all the pieces of an ebook, dictates interactions, and puts them in order. Let's look at the OPF from a fairly straightforward ebook, a novel. This is what's opened on the screen. There are four unique sections, the metadata, the manifest, the spine, and the guide. We can edit any of these pieces. For example, here's the title and maybe we want to add a subtitle. So we can add a subtitle here. So I'm going to type in the language that it needs. And this is just something I know and it is a little bit tricky to figure out what the exact markup of the metadata should be and it's helpful if you type it correctly.
