- [Voiceover] EPUB is an eBook file format…that displays content like a simple website.…It uses web technologies like HTML and CSS…to format the text and images in the eBook.…And when we're thinking about the EPUB…it's important to distinguish between two kinds of EPUB.…Reflowable and fixed layout.…In this movie we'll talk about Reflowable EPUBs.…Reflowable EPUBs are used for narrative fiction…and other books with very simple layouts.…They allow the reader to resize the text,…change the font,…and other aspects of the eBook's appearance.…
Here's an example, "Alice's Adventures In Wonderland"…that I have open here in Apple's iBooks.…So I have images, I have live text that I can select,…I can navigate to different pages,…and I have a navigational table of contents…that I can click to go to different chapters.…And I also have controls in iBooks…to change the presentation of the content.…So I can change the size of the text,…I can change the color of the page,…and I can even change the font.…
