- Just about anybody who's ever used InDesign…has created a table at one point or another.…Whether it's to do a menu, create a spreadsheet,…whatever the case may be,…you've probably created a table in InDesign…and you've probably had the same headache I've had,…where you had to draw a text frame first…and then insert the table into the text frame.…Well, no more.…All you have to do now is create your table,…no text frame required.…I'll go ahead and create a new document here.…I'll accept just the defaults,…and used to you'd have to do something like this.…You'd have to drag out a text frame…exactly the size you wanted it to be, and then,…once you had the text frame created, you would go to Table,…you would choose Insert Table, and then you would set up…all of the parameters for the table,…hit OK, and the table would be created.…
Now, it works a little bit different.…Now, with nothing selected, all I have to do is go…to the Table menu, Create Table, choose the setup…for the table--…In this case, we'll do 8 rows…and we'll do 6 columns and 1 header row,…
