- [Instructor] In this video, we'll go over some important ideas for designing an effective presentation. And by effective, I meet a file that's easy to work with and delivers a clear and memorable message to the audience. And these ideas apply for any presentation you're building. Even if you're not using InDesign to do it. First, your slide design should smoothly direct the attention of the audience. It should be easy for people to grasp what the message of each slide is. The eyes shouldn't have to wander around to find the main point. There shouldn't be too much text on one slide or competing elements that distract from one another. A key technique for achieving this is to have fixed-position elements that serve as the foundation of your slide designs.
