Default graphics and text frame styles

The more you customize InDesign to the way you work, the more efficient you're going to be. And when you combine customizing InDesign with its Styles feature, you're going to be on the fast track to becoming a super efficient. A great example of this is the ability to create default graphic and text frame styles. To show you an example of this, I have my brochure document opened from my Exercise folder, and I'm going to go to the previous spread by holding down the Option or Alt key and pressing Page Up. Now, I'm going to add a couple of text frames to the spread. When people make text frames, they usually drag out a frame or grab the Type tool and just drag out a frame, something like that. The problem is, the text frame doesn't come along with any formatting, and I might want to apply a stroke, a background color, text inset, things like that. Now, I don't mind doing this once. But if I had to apply it to a bunch of frames, if I'm making 20 or 50 of these frames and I had to apply…
