Creating tables with rounded-corner borders
- One of the questions I get asked most often is how to make a table with rounded corners. Unfortunately, there is no "table with rounded corners" command, or at least not yet, though it is an oft requested feature. However, there are a couple of techniques you can use to create a table with rounded corners, and neither one is terribly difficult. Here's an example of the end result of one of the techniques I'll show you. Let's take a look at how it was done. I'm going to turn to the next page of this file, and here we have a regular InDesign table with square corners. I'm going to switch out of Preview mode by pressing the letter W, and as you know, every table is in a text frame, and we can actually use that text frame to create our rounded corners. I'm going to select the text frame, and the first thing I'm going to do is apply a border to it that's the same color as the strokes in our table. So, I'll come up here to the Control Panel, and give this a border. Let's make it a little…
