Creating swatches - InDesign Tutorial
From the course: InDesign Quick Tips
Creating swatches
- [Instructor] Swatches allow you to quickly and consistently apply color to objects in InDesign. Open the Swatches panel by choosing Window, Color, Swatches. Click on the panel menu in the Swatches panel and choose "New Color Swatch." Change the color mode if desired. Here we'll leave the color mode as CMYK. Enter 51 in the cyan field, 64 for magenta, 42 for yellow, and 14 for black. If desired you can uncheck "Name with Color Value" and enter a unique name for the swatch. Click the Add button to add this swatch to the Swatches panel. Enter a new set of values, 73 for cyan, 59 magenta, 46 yellow, and 25 black, then click "OK" to add another swatch and dismiss the new color swatch dialog box.
