Creating infographics with tables

- You know, people sometimes give me a funny look when I tell them how crazy I am about InDesign's table features. One of the reasons is that once you understand the basics of how InDesign's tables work, you can start to think about them in a more pliable and flexible way. I mean, after all, cells can be any size especially when you start splitting and merging them and cell strokes can be turned off altogether or made really large. And we can use any color from our Swatches panel or gradients for that matter. Yet at the same time there's this beautiful underlying grid. Throw in some anchored objects and the possibilities are literally endless. Here's just one example. Here I have an infographic that actually is a table. I wanna show you how this was done and hopefully get you thinking about other ways in which InDesign tables can be used, maybe ways you haven't thought of before.
