Creating and applying paragraph styles

- [Instructor] So in the previous movie I populated the text frames with dummy text, and I now want to create my text formats. So I need to think about the different types of paragraphs that I'll be using and create and apply paragraph styles for them. So let's zoom in on this first block of text. If you find the grid lines distracting you can press command or control semicolon or come to the view menu and choose grids and guides and then make sure that the guides are not shown, but I do have my hidden characters shown. And those are useful. Those are going to indicate where the paragraphs end. And I'm going to start by selecting just one paragraph. Now since the body text is going to make up the vast majority of the text in this article and indeed in any article, it's the body text that you want to start with. So with one paragraph selected, I'm going to apply the formats and then use this as a prototype for the body paragraph style. First of all, to change the font I'll press…
