Creating and applying gradient swatches

- [Instructor] Gradients or blends or vignettes, or whatever you want to call them, everyone loves using color gradients, but to be honest InDesign is kind of clunky when it comes to making and applying them. I have the magazine document open from my exercise files folder and I'm going to jump to the last spread by clicking this little button in the lower left corner of the document window. Now, I have a frame back here that I'm going to select and I want to put my gradient into that frame. To do that, I'll open the gradient panel over here in the dock. The easiest way to put a gradient into that frame is to just click this little gradient icon, here in the left side of the panel. You can see that we now have the default white to black gradient to apply to this object, which is fine but kind of boring. Let's spice it up a bit. Now you can choose whether you want this to be a linear gradient or a radial gradient. That's…
