Converting to a mobile app using PhoneGap Build

- In this video, we'll look at a service from Adobe called PhoneGap Build. PhoneGap is a free code library that let's you package HTML into a mobile app. To package an app for a specific device with PhoneGap, you'll need the corresponding SDK, or software developer's kit, for the device you're targeting. If you're targeting multiple devices, you may need to download multiple SDKs. Now all of this sounds like developer's work, doesn't it? Well, fortunately, there's a simpler way. PhoneGap Build is a web service that includes all of the SDKs on a server for you. So you can upload an HTML package and the server will do all the necessary work for you. There's one piece of creating a package to upload that is still a bit of a developer task. So to illustrate that, I'm gonna switch over to my exercise files. I'm in the Chapter 4 folder in 04_03, in the start folder. And in here, I have a config.xml file. I'm just gonna open that up in TextWrangler and show you what that looks like. So this…
