- [Instructor] In the last movie, we looked at how to add a simple form to our PDF brochure for people to sign up for an email newsletter, submitting their names and email addresses, and the form works as expected, but it's not ideal, because by default the Submit button attached the whole PDF to an email. It'd be much better to just collect the data, so to do that, we need to edit the PDF file. This is not something you can adjust in InDesign, so with the PDF file open in Adobe Acrobat, choose Tools, Prepare Form. With the Selection tool, double-click the Submit button to access its Properties. In the dialog box, click on Actions, click on Submit a form, and Edit. Here's the problem. The Export Format is set to PDF The Complete document. So let's set that to the top choice, FDF, and this will give us just the forms data.
