- [Instructor] Very often when you get an InDesign file or you pour in a Word document into an InDesign file, there's a lot of extra garbage in the file that you wanna get rid of before you get to the work of applying styles and so on. And a lot of that is because you wanna make sure that what you're look at in InDesign is as close of an approximation to what the EPUB is gonna look like as possible. As you saw in previous videos, for example, that space runs and tab runs are collapsed. And here we have a document that was obviously created in Word. I'm gonna zoom in a bit with command or control plus. And you can see that we have some problems in this document. First of all, there's these horrible double and triple returns separating paragraphs, which we don't want, 'cause we're going to use styles instead with space above or below for the paragraph to force extra space if we want.
