- [Instructor] If you're a designer who uses type in most of your projects, you know the importance of choosing just the right typefaces for the occasion. You may have seen my LinkedIn Learning courses, which are deeper dives into typography, including choosing and combining typefaces. But for this course, we're going to look at typefaces that are specifically useful for designing your resume. What are we looking for in a typeface that represents the weight and sum of your professional profile? Generally, we want a resume to look serious, straightforward, but not boring. Authentic and believable. Above all, it should be legible and readable. There is a difference. If type is legible, it simply means that it's possible to read it. If type is readable, it has one additional quality, it invites the reader in. You want to read it. A good resume starts with good type choices.
