Auto-size text frames
- [Instructor] One of the powerful features InDesign has that I like to take advantage of is the ability of a text frame to auto-size based on the content entered into the frame. This technique alleviates overset text in a document and makes editing more fluid. So, in this spread that I'm looking at, you'll notice that I have two text frames that are on each page that is designed to house a caption that's going to be entered, and this is a good example because a lot of times when we're building a project like this the caption is going to come from somebody else. It could be emailed. It could be sent in a word document, and a lot of times we're, as designers, just copying and pasting that text into that area, and in cases of, say like an InCopy workflow, somebody might be typing that content in using a program such as InCopy.
