Advanced Links panel features

I discussed the Links Panel and its crucial importance in InDesign back in my InDesign Essential Training title. But if you really want to get the most out of the Links Panel, you want to use a few tips and tricks that I didn't cover there. I'll open the Links Panel by pressing the keyboard shortcut, Command+Shift+D or Ctrl+Shift+D on Windows. The most important thing that you can do in the Links Panel is customize it to the way you work. You've heard me say this before, the more you customize InDesign to the way you work, the more efficient you're going to be. So, to customize the Links Panel, go to the Links Panel menu and choose Panel Options. Now there is a lot checkboxes in this dialog box, but you don't want to turn them all on, just a few. Let me show you a few that I usually like to have turned on. First, Thumbnails, by default thumbnails are showing in the name column, that's this column at the top of the Links Panel.
