Adjusting text hyphenation and justification

There's only so much text that can fit onto each line in a paragraph, but we often want to cram as much text as we can onto each line and create the most even color we can in each paragraph. Do you know what I mean by color? I'm not talking about red or blue or white text or black text, I'm talking about typographic color. You can see typographic color if you squint your eyes until everything gets a bit blurry and you just see the overall grayness of a line or a paragraph. Now you don't want a paragraph to look patchy or blotchy with areas of light and dark. You want even colors, sort of an even gray throughout. To manage this, we use hyphenation and justification settings, sometimes called, H and J's. I have my brochure file open from the exercise folder, and I'm going to jump to the second spread by pressing Option+Page Down or Alt+Page Down. I'll select this text frame and zoom in to 200% with Command+2 or Ctrl+2, and I'll use my Option+Spacebar or Alt+Spacebar grabber hand just to…
