- [Instructor] You probably know that in order for me to share this CC 2019 InDesign layout file with somebody who has an earlier version of InDesign would require me to export it to IDML or do a save as and choose the InDesign CS4 or later IDML. Either way, you get the same IDML file. But what if you don't want to share the entire layout? What if you just want to share some stuff, like let's say, for example, in this first chapter of a book that we wanted our colleague or freelancer to be able to reuse this, the stuff on the title page. So it's editable text. It has one text frame and then there's an image inside it. Nothing is grouped. Now if just select it all, and I copy it, just want you to see that if I switch then, to an earlier version like CC 2017, and I paste, you do get what you had copied, but it comes in as a graphic.
