402 Draw on text frame above another
- [David] You can see that I have a couple of text frames on this page already. And I want to draw a new one right over here, on the right. So, I'll grab my type tool, come over here and start dragging. Well, that didn't work, did it? It failed because there was already a text frame there on the page. So, how can you draw one text frame above another one? Well, you have to be tricky. First, let me go back to the way it was by pressing Command + Shift + A, or Control + Shift + A. That deselects everything on my page. Now, I'm going to use my type tool to start drawing a frame out here, somewhere on the page, or pasteboard, where there isn't already a text frame. Now, I'm dragging, but of course, the frame is in the wrong place. So here's the trick. I hold down the space bar, while the mouse button is still down, and that lets me move the frame. See, while the space bar is down, I can move the frame. Then, when I let go of the space bar, I can keep dragging, and it goes back to sizing…
