391 Copy layers from one layout to another

- [Instructor] I often get asked, "How do I copy "layers from one document to another?" You know, I've spent forever creating perfect layers, but I can't get them into another document. There's no import layers or load layers like there is for, say, style sheets or swatches. I'll show you how to do it in this video. First, let's take a look at our sample document. This is actually a live file from a recent issue of InDesign magazine, the magazine that I publish with David Blatner. And of course our own InDesign document is perfect. No, it isn't. But it does have a lot of layers. So here are the layers that we're using. So there's text and this one is in the notes layer so you can hide and show it, there is an images layer, and so on. Now, in the target document that I'll use for this video, this is just a plain-Jane InDesign file, one page long with the default layers, meaning one default layer called layer one.
