373 Convert a PDF to an editable INDD
- [Instructor] Have you ever been handed a PDF, from a client for example or maybe you inherited it from a predecessor, and you don't have the original InDesign file that created that PDF and yet they want you to create a new version in InDesign and make some major edits to it? What are you supposed to do? I'm going to show you this cool tip that you can use as long as you have Acrobat and Microsoft Word. Now, before I jump into that though, I should mention that there are two dedicated plugins for InDesign that will help you convert PDFs to InDesign. One of them is from Recosoft called PDF2ID and the other one is PDF2DTP, I guess because Recosoft grabbed that name first, PDF to InDesign from Markzware, another great company. You might want to check them out as well but if you're in a hurry and you don't have time to purchase, download, install, and test these plugins, you might try this method which with later versions of Acrobat, say from Acrobat 10 up to the current version which…
