295 Place and replace Artboards with a script

- [Instructor] Let's say that you're working on a beautiful layout, like this work of art in front of us, and you want to place a document that has multiple pages, or artboards. Like for example, I have them queued up here. Here is an Adobe Illustrator document with three different artboards. And when I place that file, go to File, place with cmd or ctrl + D, on the Desktop, it's called BankingIcons. When you choose Show Import Options you can get a preview of the different artboards, right. And let's say okay, I like this one, I want to place that one. And click OK, and it places it. But what happens if down the road, you want to replace this with a different artboard. You know, I use this software daily for the past bazillion years, and I will still come up here to Object and go to Object Layer Options thinking that I'm going to see different artboards. And don't you think that this should be called Object, Layer and Page Options, so we can easily switch from one to the next? But…
