- [Instructor] People are increasingly using InDesign to make ads or graphics for digital publications, where the important measurement is pixels, not inches or centimeters. Now InDesign does let you work in pixels if you want, for example, if I come over here, and right click on this little square where the rulers come together, I can choose Pixels as my measurement system. And when I do that, it changes not just the rulers, but also the Control Panel and all my dialog boxes. So if I'm trying to make a 300 by 250 pixel ad, I could just set it up exactly the right size in InDesign, but the thing is, in this case, I already have art and it's definitely bigger than 300 pixels wide. Now I could resize it here on the page, but why bother, why not just export at the size I need? Now there are two ways you can do this, first, by doing a little bit of math, but it's really easy, and you don't even need a calculator, and the second way is to use a free script.
