224 Creating custom color swatches

- Did you know that InDesign has a feature that lets you create a new color swatch from any color that you see on screen? Now I'm not talking about the eyedropper tool or the color theme tool that you can find down here in the tool panel, no. Those tools only let you sample colors from objects on your page. There's another, secret way that lets you sample any color you see, even if the color is in another program or on a webpage, or even on your desktop. Now, this is a little bit hard to show you because of the tiny size of the screen, but I'm going to move the InDesign application frame out of the way here. And you can see that I have a website in a web browser, running behind InDesign. Now, I want to grab a color from that webpage. Now, before I go any further, I do need to point out that this tip is really only for when you're making interactive documents, you know, documents that are destined to be primarily viewed on screen.
