212 Incorporating spring-loaded tool shortcuts

- You know that each of the tools in the tool panel has its own keyboard shortcut, right? So, like if I want the Type tool, I just press the letter T on my keyboard, and now I have the Type tool. So, I can draw out a text frame. Now to get back to the Selection tool, I would normally press the V key, but in this case, because I'm editing text inside that frame, pressing V doesn't go back to the Selection tool, it actually just types the letter V inside that frame. So, to go back to the Selection tool, I would have to get out of editing text, and I can do that by pressing the Escape key. Escape comes out of the text frame and selects the Selection tool again. So, all the tool keyboard shortcuts are really helpful, but here's a shortcut trick that you might not be aware of. It's called spring-loaded tool shortcuts. The idea is that sometimes you want a tool, but just for a moment. Just for one thing like making that text frame. So, here's what you're going to do. You press the keyboard…
