204 Creating a

- You've seen this effect, right? A rectangle that appears to bend or fold backward behind itself? How on earth did I do that in InDesign? Well, it's really not that hard and after you set up the effect the first time, it's super easy to repeat. To make this effect, there are actually two different things going on. First, a really big, thick rule behind the text and second, a little triangle anchored in just the right spot so that it travels along with the heading. I'm going to show you how to get this effect and I'll do it over here in this document so you can see me build it from scratch. All I have is a text frame with a bunch of dummy text inside of it. First, I'm going to select that frame and I'll change its color. I'll change a Fill color of, say, yellow. That's too yellow, so I'll set the tint back to maybe 20%. That's good. Now, I'll go to the object menu and choose Text Frame Options. And I'm going to set the Inset Spacing to, say, six points. I'll press Tab and you'll see…
