Adding footnotes

It's easy to add footnotes to any story that you check out, but like a lot of the other advanced text processing topics I'll be talking about in this chapter, footnotes is something that the designer usually sets up and that the editors in InCopy implement, and by set up I mean the designer is the one who say like, what is the paragraph style and the character style used by the footnote in the footnote reference. So you really don't have control over that in InCopy, but you do have control over actually inserting the footnotes. So let's see how that works. I've checked out this story in the beginning. Now this might not be the typical story that you would add a footnote to, but it will serve its purpose. I'm going to zoom in and let's say that we want to add a footnote after the words "Plant Care." So I'll click right here, and then I just go to Type and choose Insert Footnote.
