The spacebar versus very small drags
- In this movie, I'll demonstrate a special spacebar trick that's available to you Pen Tool users, and I'll also show you the pitfalls of drawing a very small distance with the Pen. So for starters here, you can Press the spacebar as you create a new anchor point to move that point on-the-fly*, but notice that we have a caveat here, and that is that you've got to be careful with this trick when you're creating anchor points. You want to Click and hold, then press the spacebar, and then drag to avoid the risk of adding tiny control handles. So, let me show you what I'm talking about. I'll go ahead and press the "p" key to switch to my Pen Tool. Notice I've got the Create cursor complete with the sparkle. So, what I need to do is activate this path by clicking on an end point using the Resume cursor, and then I'll just click to add a few anchor points like so. But now, let's say, I had a point here and then I start by adding a point here but I think better of it immediately. Well…
