The pixel grid

- [Instructor] Illustrator's Pixel Preview and Pixel Grid allows you to see your vectors as if they were bitmaps, so you can see how your artwork will render onscreen. Under the View menu, we have Pixel Preview, and we also have Snap to Pixel. We can toggle Snap to Pixel on and off right here, and when it's on we can choose the exact behavior of the pixel snapping. I'm going to leave all of these options turned on. If we look in our Preferences, Guides and Grid, we see that we have this one checked, Show Pixel Grid (Above 600% Zoom). So, in order for it to see the Pixel Grid, I need to zoom in to above 600%. So, I'm currently now at a view size of 900%, and we can see the Pixel Grid. And my artwork is currently snapped to the Pixel Grid. This means that we are avoiding the problem of anti-aliasing along the left edge of this button. I'm going to choose my Transform tool, and just before I do that I'm going to toggle off Snap to Pixel. So, I'll give you an illustration of the problem…
