The problem is, with this edge right here.…Notice if I try to select the inner edge along the…descender of the g, I select an outer edge as well.…
And, that's because these edges have gotten fused together.…And, the only way to do that effectively, is…to isolate the group, from the rest of the illustration.…Now there's a couple of ways to enter an isolation mode.…One is to click on the item that you want to isolate here…inside the layers panel.…And then go to the layers panel fly out menu, and choose, enter isolation mode.…
