Join Justin Seeley for an in-depth discussion in this video Working with data recovery, part of Illustrator CC 2015 New Features.
- Computer and application crashes…are an unfortunate fact of life in the Digital Age,…but lucky for us,…there's a new feature in Illustrator CC 2015…which enables you to recover some of your lost data.…Now, before we actually get into showing you how this works,…let me show you where you can go in…and customize the settings for this Data Recovery feature.…You need to go into your Preferences panel.…On the Mac, that in the Illustrator menu…and on the PC you go to the Edit menu…and choose Preferences,…and once we have that,…I'm gonna go down to the File Handling & Clipboard section.…
In the File Handling & Clipboard section of the Preferences…you have this top bar right here…that says "Data Recovery."…So you can choose to automatically save recovery data…and then you say to save it every how often.…So in this case it's saving it every two minutes,…or you can set it to something like one minute…or 30 seconds, or whatever you choose to have.…You can also turn off Data Recovery…for what Illustrator considers to be complex documents.…
