Whisper balloons
- Whispers, while not quite as secret as thoughts, are still pretty secret. In this section, I'll let you in on not one, but two ways to make a whisper balloon. For this video we're going to go back to the page of Autumnlands we were working on earlier in the course. If we go back to the script, we look and we see that the writer has put a cryptic little code here, wh. So, let's go to the lettering key and see what that means. Here in our lettering key we can look up what the writer was asking for. Wh equals whisper balloon. So let's go back to Illustrator, take a look at that first balloon that we did. We need to make it into a whisper balloon, these characters are sneaking around this cave and they don't want to be heard. So how can we show that with our lettering? I'm going to show you two ways to do it. First let's un-mask this box so that we can work with each of the objects individually. So, I did Command, Option Seven, which undoes the Layer Mask.
