While most sell sheets will place the call to action at the bottom of the page, review some scenarios where this rule should be broken and why.
- [Instructor] When discussing how to develop…your call to action, or CTA for short,…you might recall that I said…if you're going to lead with strong content,…you better end with strong content.…This, of course, implies…that you should close with your CTA.…While this is a natural inclination,…there might be times when closing with your CTA…doesn't tell the best story.…Let's use BooginHead as an example.…Their CTAs appear in the orange text…of their value propositions,…so each sell sheet leads with their call to action…versus closing with it.…
When your CTA doesn't include a sense of urgency,…or a free giveaway, or a specific action on how to buy,…it makes sense to open with it verus close with it.…If you're going to be opening with your CTA,…then it might impact your layout.…In the case of BooginHead, the CTA opens their story,…so it's sized to match all of the other…supporting text on the sell sheets.…If leading with your CTA,…the font size can be large and act as a headline.…
This sell sheet, for example,…draws the eye in with the word Expand.…
