- [Voiceover] Hi, I'm Nigel French. Welcome to Type Project: Swiss. In this short project-based course, we'll be designing a poster that recreates the look of the International Typographic Style, also known as the Swiss Style. Originating in Switzerland after the Second World War, the heyday of the International Typographic Style was the 1950s and 60s, but its influence can still be seen today. The most important works of the Swiss Style were posters, and we'll be re-imagining one of these, Josef Muller-Brockmann's 1955 Beethoven poster.
In Illustrator we'll see how we can create this look with a thoughtful combination of the Polar Grid tool and the Live Paint Bucket. Let's get started.
