- [Voiceover] Hellow, and welcome to Graphic Design for Business Professionals. My name is Justin Seeley and I'm a staff author here at Lynda.com. This course is all about getting you ready for any and all graphic design challenges that might come your way in an everyday work environment. Over the next few hours I'll be teaching you the basic principles of graphic design while we simultaneously work together on some real world projects. First up, we're gonna tackle something called the PARC System, which breaks graphic design down into four basic concepts that we'll apply to our projects throughout the course. From there I'll introduce you to things like typography, which will help you grab the attention of your audience, and color, which will help you set the mood and tone for your design work. Once we've got all the building blocks in place, you and I are gonna work together to create some real design projects of our own. We'll build things like a business card, a company envelope, flyers, and even a corporate presentation. I'm really excited to share all of this great stuff with you, and I hope you're excited too. Remember, just because it doesn't say graphic designer on your business card doesn't mean that you can't create some awesome and beautiful stuff, and hopefully by the end of this course I will have helped you get there.
