Using selection tools
- [Instructor] In this movie, we're going to cover the Selection tools in Adobe Illustrator. The first one is the black arrow; and if you hover over it, it'll show you the name which is called the Selection tool. And you can see the shortcut for the tool there as well, it's the letter v. The way to use the Selection tool is just to click on an object and drag it into another location. Very simple. Another way you can use the Selection tool, is to marquee select. And what that means is click and drag around all of the objects, and then you can move them together. So if you need to select multiple objects, one way to do it is to marquee select. Another way to select multiple objects is to use your shift key. Select the first object, hold the shift key, and click on any additional objects you'd like to include in your selection; and then you can grab them and move them around your page.
