Using the Mask and Crop Image buttons

- [Instructor] In this movie, I'll introduce you to two buttons that are available to you up here in the control panel anytime an image is selected inside the document window, and they go by the names Mask and Crop Image. This first button, Mask, allows you to non-destructively crop an image using a clipping mask, just as we saw in the previous movie. Whereas the second button, Crop Image, permanently crops away pixels inside of a placed image. To demonstrate the difference between the two I'll go ahead and drag this guy over to the left a little bit, and then I'll duplicate it by pressing the Alt key or the Option key on the Mac and dragging the image over to the left side of the screen. All right now just so I can eliminate some visual clutter on screen here, I'll switch back to the Layers panel, and I'll turn off the guides layer. All right now I'll go ahead and select the first image like so, and then I'll click on the Mask button up here in the control panel, and that's going to…
