- All right, now that we've had our obligatory sojurn in the text, let's get back to what you're supposed to be doing in Illustrator, which is illustrating. Now so far, everything we've drawn has been something Illustrator can make for us. In real life, I can't draw a perfect circle, but the robot that is Illustrator can. But let's say you don't wanna draw a circle, in fact, you almost never wanna draw a circle. You wanna draw any old thing you like. In which case good news, because, in all but one of the following chapters, throughout the rest of this entire course, that's all we're gonna do, starting now. In this chapter, I'm gonna show you how to take the things we've made so far, circles, lines, stars, whatever, and combine them into much more elaborate path outlines. And that's a term, by the way, two words, one term, path outlines. That's what Adobe calls every line and shape that you create in Illustrator.
