Using the Eyedropper tool to find and paint color

- [Instructor] If you have worked with other graphic applications, you may be accustomed to using a paint bucket tool to apply color. At first glance it appears that Illustrator is missing a paint bucket tool. There's something called a live paint bucket, and we find that under the live shape, which is over here, or the shape builder tool, but the live paint bucket is a bit more complex than a regular or standard paint bucket because it involves live shape features. I'll switch back to my selection tool here. We know that we can select an object and then apply color attributes to it. There's actually a way to color objects that aren't selected using a paint bucket style of painting. The feature's hidden in the eye dropper tool. Let's start by reviewing how the eye dropper tool works in its standard mode. I'm going to switch to the eye dropper tool with the I on my keyboard, and then I can pick up colors from the colored petals over here, and that picks up both the fill and stroke…
