- All right, so far I've shown you just about everything you could probably wanna know about creating path outlines with a pen tool. Albeit, using nothing but corner points. In this chapter, I'm gonna walk you through a bunch of advanced pen tool tricks most of which are designed to help you adjust your path outlines on the fly. Whether by repositioning anchor points in segments or adding and deleting points on the fly, or nudging a point from the keyboard. In the end, I'll show you how to convert your corner points to smooth and cusp points. I should say, unless I mention otherwise, these tricks are specifically designed to work on open active path outlines. Although there are exceptions, and I'll keep you apprised when they occur. We're gonna start things off with an examination of the difference between undoing the creation of an anchor point and deleting it.
