- [Instructor] I would argue that one…of the more misunderstood aspects of Illustrator…is how it creates type in a document.…It may seem simple enough, however, there's…a real difference regarding how Illustrator creates type,…and why you might wanna use one method versus the other.…Now, what most people do when they're working…in Illustrator and they wanna add type is,…they'll come over here and grab the type tool,…and they'll just click somewhere on their art board.…Now, the newer versions of Illustrator…add some lorem ipsum text in there just…so we don't end up with empty type objects everywhere.…
But I'm just gonna type the word Explore.…And I'll go ahead and make that text…a little bit bigger, and I'm gonna…change the font over here to Chaparral Pro Bold.…Looks good.…Now, by just clicking with the type tool,…we've created what's called a point type object.…Now point type object is good for headlines…and little pieces of text in your design,…but one of the inherent properties of point type is,…that if you just grab one of these corners and you drag it,…
