- This week, we're going to create a cosmic type effect. Now keep in mind it's not what I'm doing, it's how I'm doing it cause there's quite a few steps that are going to go into this. You might take those steps and apply them to something else, a little change in the mode here, or whatever, and you get a completely different effect. So it's not the what but the how. So what we're going to do is we're going to start off with the word cosmic. So I'm going to click on here. Click and type out the word cosmic. Now I'm using a very large straight type face just like that which happens to be Helvetica, and I'm going to put it in place. I'm going to hit command, T. So I can go in there and shrink it down a little bit. Get it more like in there, like that, and center it, and maybe a little tighter. There we go. That's what I want right there. Click OK and there's my word, cosmic. So what I'm going to do now is I'm going to start to play around with this guy. I'm going to do a few different…
