- [Voiceover] Hi I'm Nigel French, welcome to Type Project: Bauhaus. In this short project based course we'll use Adobe Illustrator to create the cover for a book celebrating the work of the Bauhaus, the massively influential German art school that existed between 1919 and 1933. Wassily Kandinsky, one of the Bauhaus's most influential teachers assigned the colors red, yellow and blue to the square, triangle and circle respectively.
And the theoretical study of these colors and shapes was a major part of the schools famous preliminary course. Taking this as our inspiration the main part of our project will be the creation of letter forms based upon the circle, square and triangle in the primary colors of red, yellow and blue. A signature look for the Bauhaus, let's begin.
