- [Instructor] In this movie, I'll show you…two different ways to warp type.…When I say warp, I mean that we're applying…a warp style distortion in which we're bending the letters…as well as applying horizontal and/or vertical perspective.…Now one of the ways is pretty obvious…and the other to my way of thinking is more flexible.…But I'll show you both…so you can make your own determination.…All right, so I'll go ahead and click on the text…with my black arrow tool in order to select…that point text object.…
Then method number one is to go up to this icon.…On the right side of the Control panel…which by default is going to read Make Envelope.…Now what I want you to do just to make sure…we're getting the same results…is click this down pointing arrow head…and make sure that Make With Warp is selected.…In which case, go ahead and click on Make Envelope…in order to bring up the Warp options dialogue box.…Now assuming that Preview checkbox is turned on,…you'll be able to see that we're applied in the background.…
