Illustrator gives you great precision and control when transforming objects. Take advantage of these tips to leverage the power of Illustrator when transforming objects.
- [Instructor] Illustrator gives you tremendous control…when transforming objects.…Let me show you some tips…that will help you to transform objects…with the utmost precision and control.…Now, the first thing I'm gonna do here…is I'm gonna zoom in to the center of this graphic…where the star is located,…and what I wanna show you is…that when you select an object with your Selection tool,…all you really get is the bounding box handles…around the object, and you can, of course,…grab one of these handles…and scale this object up or down.…
If you hold the Shift key, it'll constrain it,…and then you can even hover over the corner…to rotate the object.…Now, for a lot of work, that is pretty helpful,…but I'm gonna undo those operations…and instead, I'm gonna switch over to some of my…tools that allow me to transform with more control.…Now, Illustrator categorizes the Rotate, Reflect,…and the Scale, Shear, and Reshape tools…under the category of Reshaping tools.…
I like to call them transformation tools…because that's really what they are doing,…
