Tracking and kerning border elements

I've saved my progress as Ornaments on a path.ai, found inside the 08_type folder. Notice that we've assigned the shell and the sun to this path outline. In this exercise, we're going to replicate these two ornaments over and over again and then we're going to adjust the tracking and kerning of the various ornaments, so they exactly fit the path outline. So I'll switch to the Type tool by pressing the T key and then I will select these two characters by dragging over them. I'll go up to the Edit menu and choose the Copy command or press Ctrl+C, Command+C on the Mac. Then I'll press the Right Arrow key in order to move the blinking insertion marker to after the sun character. And I'm going to either go up to the Edit menu and choose the Paste command or press Ctrl+V, Command+V on the Mac, a total of 11 times in a row. So might as well do that from the keyboard choosing the command that many times in a row would be a colossal pain in the neck. So I'm going to go ahead and zoom out here…
