Learn how to clean up artwork with the Smooth and Eraser tools.
- [Narrator] The options we've been…exploring in this chapter for creating…more complex artwork from simple shapes,…such as pathfinders and the shape builder and so on,…sometimes result in lots and lots of points…on the paths that they create,…as do the pencil tool and brush tool occasionally,…and almost everything you bring in from…the Adobe mobile drawing apps, such as Illustrator Draw.…Lots and lots of points there and some cleanup needed.…
We're going to explore two of those tools in this movie.…We're going to explore the eraser tool…and also the smooth tool on this piece of artwork.…What I'm going to do first of all is select…the piece of artwork I want to work on,…and I'm going to click the isolate group button…in the properties panel here.…You can also double click on the artwork,…by the way, to go into isolation mode on it,…and you'll know you're here because of…the bar up at the top of the screen.…
Then I'm going to hold down shift…and tap e to get my eraser tool.…The reason I've gone into isolation mode…
