- [Narrator] In this movie, I'll show you how to smooth over and redraw certain portions of a path outline with the help of a couple of additional tools that live in the shaper tool fly-out menu, namely the smooth tool and the path eraser. All right so, I'm going to go ahead and release on this vertical bar right there, in order to separate these tools into a mini tool box, and then I'll switch back to the black arrow tool for a moment up here at the top of the toolbox, which you can get by pressing the v key. I'll select my existing heart, and then I'll press the backspace key or the delete key on a Mac to get rid of it. Now, I'll go ahead and grab my pencil tool, and let's say I decide to draw half of my heart pretty darn smoothly as you're seeing right here, and then for the other half, I make a bunch of herky jerky motions and you can see as a result, I'm seeing a very rough path preview at any rate, and then…
