Setting up your workspace
- In this chapter we're going to turn our attention to drawing our icons, and I want to start by introducing the software we're going to be using in organizing our workspace. So we'll be using Adobe Illustrator CC, it's a program I've been using for years, and it really is sort of the standard for vector art creation. If you don't have a copy of Adobe Illustrator CC, you can go out to the Adobe website, search for Illustrator, and right here you can download a free trial which will let you experiment with it and see if it's right for you. Okay, so here I've opened up Illustrator and the first thing I want to do with you guys is just take a brief tour of the interface, and then get the workspace setup so that it's sort of optimized for drawing our icons. So the first thing you'll notice about Illustrator is a menu bar up top.
